In my life I am all-consumed with horses: reading about them, watching videos, what exercises we are going to work on etc... but more and more I find myself growing and learning through my experiences with them. And so here it will be, my everyday meanderings about life through horses and sport.


What I learned in the last two weeks

So I’ve been MIA on the blog scene, mostly because we have been showing at the fabulous Tbird… and also because I was amidst some learning and therefore didn’t have finished thoughts to share… I do now! Preface: I went into the show knowing that I was under some pressure to sell one or both of my horses, and also that my practice leading into the show had been rocky. This left me feeling a lot of pressure to do well and also a lot of doubt in my ability to succeed. Charlotte is a Master

If you didn’t go watch the Charlotte Dujardin Masterclass at RMSJ on July 21, 2018, then shame on you! One of the best dressage riders – no, she is actually the current world record holder of the top score for the Grand Prix, Grand Prix special and Freestyle internationally, as well as WCF Gold, WEG Gold, and Olympic triple gold and silver medalist – and she was in Calgary for one day this year! The Masterclass was a unique symposium/clinic style teaching session, in which those in attendance had the opportunity to learn about developing young horses for top sport in dressage, teaching young riders to grown and learn their craft, and mastering the finishing touches on Grand Prix level horse/
